Text

Excerpts from Psalms

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. (61:1-4)
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee,
When my heart is weighed down;
I will cry unto thee.

When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
When my heart is heavy laden;
Lead me to thee.

For thou hast been a shelter for me,
And a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in thy house forever:
I will trust in the covert of thy wings.

Deliver me from mine enemies, (59:1)
For they be many that fight against me. (56:2)
Their poison is like the poison of a serpent. (58:4)

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, (55:5)
And horror hath overwhelmed me.

The mighty are gathered against me, O Lord,
Yet my trust in thy refuge is full. (--)

So will I sing praises unto thee forever, (61:8)
Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing. (59:17)
I will sing aloud of thy mercy, O Lord, (59:16)
I will praise thee, my Rock, my God, my King. (--)
I will trust in the covert of thy wings. (61:4)

Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come unto thee. (102:1)
When my heart is weighed down, I will come unto thee (--)
When my heart is overwhelmed, I will cry, I will praise, I will sing.

I will trust in thy love forever.
I will trust in the covert of thy wings. (61-4)
