"Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven" is a stirring arrangement of the beloved Christian hymn. It draws its text from Psalm 103 and was written by Anglican clergyman Henry Francis Lyte. It was first published in 1834.
This hymn endures in modern hymnals to a setting written by John Goss in 1868, and remains one of the most popular hymns in English-speaking denominations.
This arrangement was commissioned by the BYU Women's Chorus under the direction of Dr. Sonja Poulter and was premiered in the Salt Lake Tabernacle with the accompaniment on the famous Tabernacle organ.
