Over the 2011 Christmas holidays, I completed a new arrangement of Did You Think To Pray? for men. This was one of those times when, for some reason, I felt driven to do this arrangement and to get it done quickly. It pretty much flowed out without a tremendous amount of strife. I love it when that happens! It certainly doesn't always work out that way. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I think it will be fairly accessible to most performers and pianists, and I think the audience will really enjoy it as well.
I sent the arrangement to Rosalind Hall, Director of the BYU Men's Chorus, and I found out in the last few days that they are planning to perform the arrangement at the BYU Devotional on Tuesday, Jan. 31st, and again in their spring concert on March 23rd in the De Jong Concert Hall. If you are interested, click here for more information about the piece. I'll try to get the Devotional performance posted on YouTube and will add the recording of the March performance to my website as soon as I can.
